We would like to take a moment to thank all those who came out in support of Spectrum Generations' 9th Annual Celebrity Chef Challenge at the Snow Pond Center for the Arts in Sidney! Our new friends, old friends, volunteers, staff and community members came together to make this a heartwarming event. A special shout out to Shannon Moss, who emceed the event and kept our guests entertained!
***Drum roll please...we would like to Congratulate Chef Taylor Stanton, owner of The Salty Moose as the winner of the Peoples’ Choice category. Winning the Judge’s Choice Award was Heidi Parent, Capital Area Technical Center Culinary Arts Instructor and former participant on Gordan Ramsays' Hell's Kitchen. Chef Dannielle Alrcich, The Blind Pig Tavern, created a dish that did not disappoint our guests! Thank you to our panel of judges, Jared “Jedi” Baker, Maine Cabin Masters, Shawn McLaughlin, STATE LUNCH, and Earl Smith, Maine author and retired Colby College dean for coming together and agreeing on a winning dish!
Several local businesses donated food to the event, including PFG-NORTH Center, Hello Good Pie, Co., Emery’s Farm, Field of Greens, Cohen on the Meadows, Snow Pond Center for the Arts, and Fiore Olive Oils and Vinegars.
We would like to thank our event sponsors! This event would not have been a success without the help of our community!
Once again, we thank all those who supported this fundraising event by showing up and supporting Spectrum Generations’ programs and services, like Meals on Wheels, that helps raise funds to directly support our neighbors!
